So quick update on what's been happening with me recently...Sorry havent been around for a while life's been a bit occupying.

Well I had my second Rituximab treatment on 6 April, and am starting to feel good, not 'normal' or how i was 18 months or so ago, but definately some improvement!

Been getting some chest pains for a while now, and have tachycardia, so doc has decided to run some tests. Therefore, am going for an Echo and a 24 ecg monitor on monday.

Went to see my dentist last week, general 6 month check-up. Been getting a bit of tooth ache and jaw pain. My wisdom teeth are impacted in my jaw joint :( so they need to come out:sad: Again, going to see the surgeon person on monday, to get that sorted.

Went to my optician today, 6 monthly check. Long sighted, always have been, but there's some changes and abnormality at the rear of my eye, and am therefore being refered to the hospital...great! Yes I am on plaquenil, and although he's not sure he thinks that it could be attributed:sad:

A while ago I mentioned I broke my ankle. It's getting better...slowly...very slowly...very very slowly...though there still feels as though something's not right, so am being refered to a foot and ankle specialist...argh!:(

It never stops!!!!

Awww sweetie... Wow, you have been going through a lot. Glad that you are feeling better from the Rituxan. I had to have my wisdom teeth removed in April because they were infected and causing my lymph nodes in my neck to swell... NOT fun :) I really am not a huge fan of the dentist... thought my son LOVES it...

Keep us posted on your ECHO results. I hope that everything comes out okay.. and take it easy on that ankle.

*sending gentle hugs*

aww Hatty, what a parlarver :(

Don't worry too much bout the eye thing. I was always short sighted, had a test 3 months after my routine one and massive imporovement in my vision when i started the Plaquinel. it turns out it's something and nothing, just an improvement due to the drug ameliorating the deseases effects on the eye...

Feel better soon

Hi Vikki

Sorry I missed this first time round. What a time you are having, eh? :hugbetter: Im glad the Rituximab is helping a bit. Here's hoping it continues to improve. Its a shame about all those other issues though

Best of luck for the echo on Monday. DO let us know how it fares out. I cant bear to think of you having to get those wisdom teeth out. Still, it shows you must have brains to burn, eh?? ;)

I hope the Plaquenil isnt the culprit for your eye problems. One thing at a time though...

Much love and hope you are holding up. Its a very difficult time for you with the recent loss of your Mum

Thinking of you often

vikki,
You made me want a nap after you post lol. You have been so busy with those doctors they and you will need a vacation from all of this. I am sorry to hear about the change in your sight maybe it is something easy to fix (yeah like that ever happens for any of us right). Let us know how things are going. I am glad your treatment are working well for you and that you are getting some normal back in your life.

Sorry to hear the ankle is still bothering you as that can make things seem even longer. I hope at some point all goes well for you and you can start to enjoy the wonderful weather that is apon us now.

Been for the appointments today.
First, my wisdom teeth are fully formed, so i dont need them out yet, however he said my jaw is screwed...well he didnt quite use those words, but was more-or-less what he was implying. The muscles arent working well and there's nothing he or I can do about it.
Secondly, i am sat here with my 24 hr ecg monitor...woop. The electrodes are realy itchy...maybe i'm allergic to the adhesive? not sure whether to persievere or take them off, and there's no one at the hospital now. :s
the ECHO....he said my heart was working perfectly normally yay!!! however there is a thickening of my right ventricular wall which could be caused by a number of things, not one of them lupus, or it could just be me. So who knows?!?
