Hi! Just registered for the first time ever anywhere and this is my first blog (yes, I am behind at age 42). I was diagnosed with Lupus in April 2007 and have been taking Plaquenil, baby aspirin, Celebrex and pain meds PRN since that time. Recently entered into my first flare when it started getting cold here in Virginia.

I have been reading the threads of others here for the past day and found myself wanting to respond to others, so I decided to register.

My goal is to give and get support on this site. So interesting that people are from all over--love that aspect.

THank you for reading my note!

Welcome to the forum Monica !

I hope you will find support and useful information here and it certainly is very gratifying to able to help others, as well as comforting to be part of a community where everybody understands.

I was 55 when I first went on line so if you have had no occasion to use a PC before you are doing very well! I watch my 9 yr old grandaughter in amazement at how PC literate she is and she has even taught me a few little tricks. Getting online certainly changed my life in so many ways I can't imagine being without it now.
I hope you feel your lupus is well controlled now and that you have a good rheumatologist. If you haven't had a recent check up and your flare continues do get in touch to make sure the disease isn't in fact worsening or to get some additional help with current symptoms.

All the best and I look forward to hearing more from you. :)
