Have any of you used this while getting up to speed on MTX? My rheumy is having me try this in addition to the darvocet to help with the pain. It will be mostly on my knees and ankles and shoulder.

Hello,

My dr, has prescribed these to me for years. I use them, for both Fibro and lupus related pain.

They do help me. :) I hope, you find relief with them, as well.

You put the patch on and wear it for 12 hours, then remove the patch, and go without it for 12 hours. Then on again, and off..so forth.

The patches can be cut also.

Best Wishes,
Sandy

Thanks---Do they usually last for the full 24 hour time frame or only when they are on? I'm trying to figure out if I can do them at night and still have the relief during the day.

Hi C.J.

They only helped, when I was wearing it. :)

It simply numbs the area it is applied.

Much the same as novacaine in the mouth, when we see the dentist. :)

Hope you get some relief.

For me, it didn't take the pain away completely. It is simply another weapon, in my arsenal..against Fibro, and lupus. It helped.
