hey, i am new also. i have had such a rough couple weeks. i really feel like i am hardly living. lupus gives me three hours a day maybe of feeling ok. the rest of the time i am sleeping forever or in pain and weak. not able to do normal activities. I am getting so discouraged with this illness. does anyone else relate?

I think we can all relate and you will find a lot of knowledgeable and caring people here on the boards.

From this post and others you have posted, I'm just wondering if you may not need to review the meds you are taking, possibly get a second opinion from another rheumy or go to a specialised pain clinic.

I'm sorry I can't help much more right now as I don't know much of your story...

Welcome to the site.

I am sure as you read on you will find others who can relate to what you are experiencing. It sounds like you need to make your doctor understand the amount of pain you are in. It helped when I told the doctor the daily limitations I had. Once he understood we worked to find a better cocktail of medications. It won't hurt to try.

I am sorry your in so much pain everyday. Have you spoken to your doctor about this? If not then you really should mention it to him. No need to suffer when there are meds to help with the pain we experience.

Hi and welcome to the site. It seems that we can all relate to what you are going through at the moment. For many of us just thinking of doing things puts us back in bed. I am not sure but it does not sound as if the pain is being managed as well as it might be able to be done. I would talk to the doctor again and keep on him till he does something besides I am sorry. You have a wonderful doctor but you don't have to be in pain all the time. I hope that you do start feeling better soon as it sounds like it has been awhile since you had a couple good days.

I think you will find an awful lot of people that can relate to you (((hugs))).I do know one thing for sure is that stress sure does relate to how much pain we are in most of the time.You should be able to get on the right meds and that will help tremendously.
You will find lots of information to help you through these trying times.There is also so many people here to support you and help you to get through whatever it is you are going through.There is also a chat room that has someone in it sometimes if you want to try that.Hope you find it very helpful in here.
