I found it here.Cardiovascular diseases. SLE damages the blood vessels, accelerates atherosclerosis (hardening and narrowing of the arteries) and can lead to stroke, heart attack or heart failure. A stroke is sometimes a symptom of SLE in an undiagnosed individual.
