Does anyone know of a lupus doctor in NY state around Binghamton area?

Hi Postie,

I have recently begun seeing a new rheumy in Hewlett, NY (Dr. Stuart Kaplan) who is wonderful and very knowledgable but may be a bit of a trip for you from Binghampton. His wife also has lupus so I feel he has an additional insight many doctors lack in that sensitivity respect.

Maybe Manhattan is an easier trip and is loaded with quality doctors. I used to have an excellent Manhattan doctor and can send you his name if you like.

Mine is just north of Saratoga which is also a bit of a trip for you. She is excellent tho. I've heard there is someone in Troy that is good too but I'm not very familiar with your area. Are you new to the area? Are you dx with Lupus already?

Let me know if you need specifics.
Hi Jenkay

I don't know where Troy or Saratoga is. I'm upstate NY and about 3-1/2 hours from NYC. So I need something closer.

I have not been diagnosed with Lupus yet and that's what doctors are still figuring out. I have a diagnosis of CFS. I've had this for 10 years and out of all that time, the patterns are still the same but this is the first time the ANA went up and the white count dropped to 2.1.

So I have no idea if I have Lupus or not but still trying to figure out.
