I don't have any personal experience with any docs down there, I'm in NSW. However usually the ones at the major teaching hospitals are very good and you have access to other specialists and they would work together. That can be handy for us and better communication between docs is always a bonus for us.

That should give you a head start - I'd look up individual docs (google) and you will find out more about them and their interests. If they deal a lot with connective tissue diseases then that's a good thing.
There is also a Dr. Tim Godfrey down there somewhere in Melbourne and he trained with Dr. Hughes in London so should know his stuff.
