Medical Photos?

Hi,

Along with my recent skin biospy and various other tests, I was told to have medical photos taken (with my consent, of course

). I agreed

Anyway, just wondering - how many people here had to have medical photos taken? Is it 'standard procedure'?

I suspect it is common at teaching hospitals and when there is something especially interesting but I have no idea if it is standard. I had a photographic record kept of my response to treatment by one dermatology specialist and agreed to have photos taken when I first started being treated at St Thomas' Hospital, London.
