Hello everyone!!!

It's been a long time since I've posted! Hope everyone is doing well! I have some concerns, my husband and I finally got the green light to start trying to concieve...no luck yet! I stopped taking my zoloft (anxiety) and my aranesp injections (anemia) and am still on my plaq. and prednisone. I've been way overwhelmed with anxiety since stopping my zoloft 5 weeks ago. I keep telling myself it will pass, but I'm making myself misrable. I recieved a call from my neprology office telling me they want me to start back up on procrit injections cause my hemoglobin is low. NOOOOO...why is this happening now? Everytime we get the okay to start trying to get pregnant something ALWAYS gets in the way...I've run out of patients! Does anyone have any experience with preganancy and dealing with these drugs??? Any info. would be greatly appreciated! Have a great day!

Hi Andrea,

All the best with your baby making plans.

Have you discussed your anxiety issues with a ob/gyn yet? Although anti-d 's would be discouraged in general, if they are needed, there are several with a pretty good safetly record for use in pregnancy. And the worries associated with theier use are in terms of complications in the newborn, so there is plenty of time to wean off them when you are pregnant and past those early worrying stages.

I'm also TCC, and in collaberation with my ob have stayed on fluoxetine and will stay on it even when pregnant.

I'm not sure about the other drug - haven't had a chance to look it up...

But don't give up - often things that are at first glance 'not safe' are actually fine if it is a question of causing harm to mum by not giving them. Drug info publishers are very cautious (and rightly so probably).

Talk to your doctors about it:blush:
