Hi just to let you all know, my mum died this morning after a long and hard fight against breast cancer. My brother, dad, nan and I were with her holding her hand for the past two days as she slipt away peacefully in a local hospice after being admitted there to 'play' with her meds. It happened rather suddenly and quickly. At the moment, I feel quite numb, and am exhausted after only having 2 hours of sleep in the past 48. We are assured she was comfortable and wasnt in pain which is a comfort to us. x

I know how you feel I lost my mom 7 years ago and my dad 6 weeks later. I was blessed by being able to be with her when it happened. My thoughts and prayers will be with you and your family in this time of great need. I would love to tell you things will get easier but to this day I can't talk about her without tears. I can only tell you she is in a better place and one day you will see her again.
I am sorry that it is between the holidays and that it may put a dark cloud on them but I am sure she is still watching over you so do your best to get on with things. If there is anything I can do for you just message me or email day or night will check often to see if you need someone to chat with.
You are in my thoughts and hopes for a fast recovery of a painful time.

I'm so sorry to hear about your Mom. My Mom passed away 2 weeks ago, so the feelings are pretty fresh in my mind. To lose a parent, especially your Mom is difficult.
You have my condolences and prayers for you and your family. I know it is difficult because you are running pure adrenaline, but do make sure to take care of yourself.
Eventually the memories and the fact that she is no longer in pain, wil bring you some peace. She will always be in your heart.
I either read this somewhere or someone told me this that, in some ways you are closer to her after death than before. It has a bit of truth to it. I live about 3 hours away, so I didn't see my parents as much as I would have liked to. But, now she is my last thought of the day and first thing in the morning. And I talk to her through the day. I guess she is my angel now.

I am glad, especially for your Dad that her passing was peaceful and that she wasn't in any distress. I think that is what has saddened Mum most these last few days, my Dad's distress on his last day.

She seemed like a very special person the little I got to know of her here. She will always be a big part of your life in everything you do and I do believe that she will be watching over you and your brother.
Take care honey and if you need a chat or just anything you know we are here for you. This is a hard thing to deal with but you will get through it. I lost my Mum when I was 19 but she still holds a special place in my heart and always will.
