Mum died . . .

Hi just to let you all know, my mum died this morning after a long and hard fight against breast cancer. My brother, dad, nan and I were with her holding her hand for the past two days as she slipt away peacefully in a local hospice after being admitted there to 'play' with her meds. It happened rather suddenly and quickly. At the moment, I feel quite numb, and am exhausted after only having 2 hours of sleep in the past 48. We are assured she was comfortable and wasnt in pain which is a comfort to us. x

Dear Vikki,

I am so so sorry to hear that your Mum finally lost her battle. Even when we know it is coming it is truly truly sad. I am glad, especially for your Dad that her passing was peaceful and that she wasn't in any distress. I think that is what has saddened Mum most these last few days, my Dad's distress on his last day.

My condolences to you and your family at this hard time.
