Hi everyone,

Need some feedback from people who know about all this. I have had symptoms for a while, but mainly during my last pregnancy and since which has been a year. Tiredness, a headache for a year! no joke, aches, soreness, bad sinuses, too many to list really.

Got flu was real bad after couldnt open babies bottles so had some basic bloods done. My GP thought I was depressed with fibro. ESR came back raised at 38, neg CRP all else ok.

So, few weeks down the line we do the immunology tests, just got them back, I am actually not too bad at the moment,

ANA positive 160 and speckled pattern
P ANCA positive, 1:20
Pr3 1
Rheumatoid 8.6

He has referred me, but I don't really know whats going on at the mo!

Thanks for any answer,

Cheryl x

Hello Chezzie and :welcome:

I'm not great on explaining bloods but basically your bloods are showing some signs of auto-immune activity and inflammation and that needs checking out by a specialist which is why your GP (quite rightly) has referred you.

Your ANA and other bloods are not very high but with the other symptoms it is good that all that be looked into more thoroughly.

Has someone mentioned lupus to you that you have come here?

When you see the specialist you will be able to ask more questions (though do be prepared to be patient, diagnosing auto-immune diseases is extremely complex even for good docs).

Feel free to ask away on the question front, there are loads of wonderful people here willing to help. We can also help you prepare for your specialist appointment if you have any questions on that score etc.

bye for now :)

P.S. I'm going to move this post to not yet diagnosed as it suits better there and you should plenty of answers.

Hi Cheryl and welcome to the site. It is a great place to find info and support. It must be tough with a little one and experiencing the dreadful fatigue. I hope your referral won't take too long. To help with diagnosis it is useful to keep a diary of any symptoms, pain, photos of rashes, swellings etc to show to your doc.

Katherine has given you a good explanation of what may be happening, but as she said it is a long process.

Take care
