If symptoms are much improved in addition to a negative ANA, then that's a very good sign. It's possible there never was an autoimmune condition responsible for it, or that the treatment has worked for now.

If the symptoms are not much improved, then it doesn't say very much. There are more than a few doctors however, that will take this as a sign that there is no autoimmune disease even though they should know better!
