Hi guys, weirder and more wonderful stuff. So I get the Plaquinel and am loving it. I go to the optometrist for the obligatory screen even though I had one in Nov. He sees some abnormality. last time I saw him he sent me to the eye hospital who told me I have slanted pupuls , hmmm now I am not so sure that this guy knew what he was doing at all ( the eye specialist at the hsopital) I think the optometrist is very good.
I recieved a lovely letter from my GP who told me that I have to go in to be screened for diabetes. I need a blood glucose fasting test and that he has written to the London Lupus unit for advice on the eye abnormality. I hope they don't even attempt to take my Plaq away , I love the stuff.
I did have a notion that there was metabolic involvment as I didn't even gain weight when pregnant. I always struggled to stay above 100lbs and often drastically lost weight with no reason though i eat like a man. When I was struck down I gained 37lbs I told the Lupus specialist I feel particularly unwell when I eat high glycemic index foods and he said just don't eat them lol.
anyone know anyhting about the metabolism and Lupus or possible Lupus and diabetes syndromes?
xxP
