Hello Jenniferali and a big :welcome: to the forum!

I'm sorry to hear you're in a lot of pain at the moment... :(

What meds are you on for your lupus? Are you on any meds for the pain you're experiencing? Are your doctors aware of your pain? Is it muscle/joint/nerve pain? There are treatments available for all sorts of pain lupus can cause, from plaquenil to immunossupressants to anticonvulsants to painkillers (depending on the type of pain and its cause), there are treatments out there Jenniferali... Do not despair....

Hope you feel better soon... :grouphug2::hugbetter:

:flowery:

Hey Jeniffer,

I'm sorry to hear about your lupus being so bad at the moment.... Are the seizure meds for seizures or for the pain? Is the pain joint pain, muscle pain or nerve pain? Has your doctor ever tested you for fibromyalgia? Fibromyalgia is a disorder that can cause severe widespread pain in the body with no "obvious" cause; it is diagnosed with a trigger point test your doctor can perform in his office and it can be treated with a variety of meds if that is what one has...

Have you told your docs how badly this pain is affecting you???

Hang in there Jennifer... Things will improve....!

Hi Jennifer and (((((((hugs)))))

I'm so sorry to hear that you are in so much pain. Constant pain like that wears you down terribly and makes everything else so much harder to deal with.

I'm afraid I don't really have much advice to give. By now you probably know more about the disease and the meds than I do. I was wondering though if you had ever been referred to a pain management clinic. Quite a few members here have found that to be very useful both from a medication point of view and in learning to deal with the pain differently.

again, lots of hugs

Yes,I go to pain management 1 time per month. I take 2 different kinds of pain medications. The pain DR.s want me off because its so strong that in time it wont help me because im so immune to very strong pain medicines. I feel stuck. I cant take tylenol because it has affected my liver.
