hi everyone, i was told about this site by a lovely caring lady called Lindy, so thankyou so much, i have been reading a few of the posts, and it has been like someone has switched on a light. after 10 years of many serious health problems, all individually treated, it is such a relief that my eye doctor happened to mention a blood test to check for lupus, and my GP has said he will refer me to yet another specialist and support me in every way he can, including my ongoing application for DLA.
thankyou so much lindsy, you have been such a good help, when i was starting to think i was truly going mad !!!:)

Hello Louise and welcome :)

I'm sure you're not mad  you probably wouldn't realise it if you were!

I'm glad to hear that you have a supportive GP. That is very helpful. Has he referred you to a rheumatologist yet?

keep us posted on how you're doing,
Katharine

Hello Louise,
Welcome to the site .My mothers name is Louise LOL It took me many years to get Dx with lupus ,I had a lot of health problems over the years . I had seen diffrent Drs over the years and treated like you were as they came up. Not untill I was very sick did anyone put it all together .

Thankfully you had a eye Dr that may help to get the answers that you need .Take the time to check out the main pages of symptoms .Before you go in to see the specialist write down all of your symptoms no matter how small you think they maybe. Keep a journal of what is going on now ,try to write down health problems you have had rash ,mouth sores, miscariages, headachs ect... looking at the symptoms page will help you . (This can help the Drs put it all together) Make a list of all Drs you have seen there addresses and what they treated you for.

There was so many things that I didn't tell my Dr becuase I didn't think it had anything to do with what was going on .I have learned so much from this site and the people I have been blessed to meet .

Lindsy sent you to a great site to get support and understanding.
Hope to see you in the chat room sometime
Good Luck
Pam
