Hi,

I have notice lately that I have two new symptoms, which I would like to have comments on.

1st
I am increasingly getting pain in my wrists, ankles, knees and elbows, not all the same time and no reason why, seems to be random and although not stopping me do anything it is getting progressively worse.

2nd
When I exert any sort of energy, I become extremely out of breath, dizzy, feel sick and just really unwell, this can last for up to an hour or more.
For example, last week my husband holding my hand ran up the last two steps making me run also, I came over quite ill and had to sit down. i didnt begin to feel better until I was in the cool a few hours later. Today I put together two sun loungers and took the box outside and the same thing happened.

I am average weight, though not at all fit, but have noticed that walking my children to school, 10 mins, makes me feel ill, though not to the same extent as the times I have highlighted.

I have an appointment at the hospital 23rd April with general medicine.

Hi Kirsty

I can identify with pain in the joints of my limbs and fingers. What time of day do you notice this pain and is it in the joints themselves or in the surrounding tissue/tendons?

While I do get tired on exertion, particularly when it is rapid, I don't tend to feel nausea. Do you get palpitations?

Kirsty,
It sounds like something that you do want to let your doctor know about. It could be nothing or it could be something that needs to be looked into more closely. I do know what you are talking about as far as the pain in the joints, as it happens to me a lot. You should be keeping notes when this is happening and what is going on when it does happen to help the doctor limit the scope of causes. I hope you are feeling well and doing well.

Hi Kirsty,

You should mention these new symptoms to your doctor.

One thing that comes to mind is that in each of these instances it sounds like you were outside. It is possible the exposure to UV rays are contributing to feelings of ill health. Each time this happens you should write down what you were doing and where you were.

Good luck with your appointment.

Take care,
