Hi UTH, and welcome to the Lupus site. This is the best place to come for support and friendly advice.
I just wondered if you are seeing a rheumatologist well versed in autoimmune diseases for the Lupus. Normally, a person who has been diagnosed with Lupus is put on Plaquenil as a starting medication. Other drugs are sometimes added along the way if needed.

Welcome UTH.

Do you have active symptoms at present? I have heard of some doctors just having people use NSAIDs in the beginning and adding other medications if that isn't enough. It sounds like you will need to be proactive if your symptoms get out of control. You don't have to wait for your next appointment. Call in to be put on the cancellation list.

Take care,
Lazylegs
