Hi, i'm Holly and i'm a student.

I got told i had lupus at the beginning of this year - before that i had all the symptons so probably had it for about two years. I use to do loads of sports but now i can do one thing a day-eg. take my mum food shopping, do an hour of uni work etc.

I have got help through uni and am on summer break now - so tired though and desperate to get more energy and meet people my own age who struggle with family members not understanding.

Oh, i also have arthritis too!

Hello there and welcome :)

I'm one of the "older" members here at the grand old age of 36  but we have quite a few younger members also working their way through university etc.

They do tend to post a little less often so don't be too disappointed if it takes a while to hear from them. They will be along to say hi :)

The fatigue is probably one of the worst parts of this disease for anyone, as inexplicably and invisibly it stops us from being "normal". It is so hard to explain to others even if, after a while, we adjust and learn to live around it.

bye for now,
Katharine
