Hello :)

I believe that nuvigil is similar too (but a newer version of) provigil and we do have one member here who takes that. She says that it has helped her greatly to have enough energy getting through the day.

It is relatively rare for docs to agree to prescribing such drugs for various reasons and in some countries is totally out of the question.

One reason one has to be very careful is that fatigue is often something that warns us that we need to rest and "listen" to our bodies.

I'm afraid I don't know more about it than that.

Thanks for the information. I can see how it could be dangerous for lupus patients with the fatigue. We decided to try it since I was falling asleep while driving as it was so bad. He feels with all of the meds that I am on the side effects are made intolerable without this. My lupus is quiet so I don't want to mess with the meds:)
