Hi Friends
I was prescribed Pregabalin today by my doctor. Its for pain because Iv had dreadful all over pain for several weeks. Recently diagnosed with "mild" lupus to add to my fibromyalgia dx. I posted a few weeks ago that Id had the lupus dx after about 5 years of going the rounds of various specialists and being told I was a"mystery". Still have unresolved bile duct inflammation that has caused my liver function results to shoot up. Doc doesnt want to start me on the plaquenil that was advised by the rheumy until Iv had another ultrasound scan re the bile duct problems.( a long and painfilled saga) The pregabalin is supposed to help with the fibro pain but Iv read on other threads that some have it for lupus joint and muscle pain. So here goes....I took the first dose tonight so I'll post the results. I felt a bit of a lift just because the doctor was taking my pain seriously. I know I'm not alone in feeling that the medical profession dont all accept the level of pain endured in Lupus. Thanks to all for being here. This forum is a lifesaver for me. Dont feel so alone anymore.
Luv, Mary x
