I was just wondering what the rashes can look like. I have one on my leg that came up about 2 weeks ago (2 weeks after all my other symptoms) it is like tiny red dots and as it goes up my legs the dots become closer and look more lacy. I do have low WBC and low platelet count, so I didnt know if it could be from the low platelet count.

Hi snwhite :)

Rashes are so hard to describe and define really. Yours sounds a bit like a cutaneous vasculitis, but don't take that as gospel ;)

From our Symptoms Forum stickied posts:

we seem to present with a wide range of rashes besides the very typical few associated with Lupus.

Hello

It sounds as if it could be 'petechiae' which can commonly result from low platelets, caused by various sorts of diseases and sometimes medicines. The 'thinner' blood seeps through vessel walls. Vessel walls may also be damaged.

I hope you get some answers and start feeling better soon. I am wondering why lupus is suspected.

All the best

Im having fever, muscle pains, joint pains along with the red spots on my legs and feet. I couldn't get to see a rheumy before july 8 so until then I guess everyday I may discover a new symptom. I looked at pics and it looks like vasculitis.

Hi snwhite, My suggestion would be for you to: take a couple of pictures
of it if you can, but most deffinately, as soon as possible, have your GP
give you a referral to a Dermatologist. Most of us on this board have gone
to see our own Dermy's from time to time. I wish you good results.

Good idea to take a pic so that you can show the Rheumy in case it goes away by then :)

Make sure you document all these things before your visit, we often tend to forget a lot of stuff once we are face to face with them.
