I do not have Raynaud's (miracle of miracles....lol), but I do have a question about it. I do know the basics. My son is 9 and has been having some issues over the winter with his toes getting white and, I'm thinking, numb. he says they feel weird. When I lightly touched his big toe, he said he could feel it and when I touched his little toe (the one that was white), he said he couldn't, so that's why I figure he's feeling it as numb. I have seen all 5 of his toes white when they're really cold, and even the big joint of the big toe (the ball of the foot maybe?). He says that they tingle a little bit when they warm up.
My mom asked if he's ever had an opportunity to get frostbite, but I certainly dont' know how that would happen. He's always properly dressed when he's outside. At school they can't go out in the winter if they don't have hat, mittens, snowpants, and boots. Oh, and a winter coat
He has psoriasis on his scalp, so i guess he already has an autoimmune disease, so could this be another? I know AI diseases are rare in males, but...........Just checking for any opinions.
He has to go to the dr. later this month for a refill on his Straterra -- he's ADHD -- so I plan on asking about this. Now that it's warmed up a little bit here, I doubt I'd get lucky enough for this to happen in the dr's office! It NEVER happens that way, does it?
