Savella for lupus
I have seen this listed on Wikipedia. I have a relative that this would benefit as well. Savella officially is marketed and available as of Mon. may 4th for fibromyalgia. If anyone gets relief from savella please pass it on!

Long time since I've been here but I was looking on here to see if anyone has tried Savella.
I started Savella last Friday given to me by my rheumatologist. It is for
fibromyalgia...so far I have not noticed any difference in the pain of fibro. I have noticed my Raynauds is getting worse.
He gave me a 2 week Titration Pack.. The first day I took a 12.5 mg pill at night, On the 2nd and 3rd day I took two 12.5 mg pills in am and pm. The 4th thru the 7th day I take 25mg pills in am and pm. Then on day 8 thru 14 I will take 50 mg in am and pm.
I have tested the "tender points" on my legs, hips, shoulders, etc and so far no change but I don't know why my raynauds is acting up more. Its getting warmer here in Georgia and my hands are freezing. I will definitelly tell him this when I go back on May 29th.
Right now, I can't say that I will stay on this cause I just read on the site for savella that they have no generic and won't until the year 2021. I can't afford 40 dollars for this. I can't remember the exact site but you can google savella and a number of websites will come up.
I am interested in hearing if anyone has got any relief from this and if they have had any bad side effects.
This is a anti-depressant drug but not used to treat depression BUT it acts like meds that are used to treat depression. The pkg list lots of side effects like suicide thoughts and changes in moodes, behaviors, etc. Some other side effects are panic attacks, trouble sleeping, irritability,...I already have trouble sleeping.
If your doc recommends this to you, ask for a sample 2 week trial pack.
I desperately need something for raynauds right now.

I am on my 13th day of the 14 day sampler. I did not like it or the way I felt on the first few day. I have adjusted well to it and I have not had to have pain meds for the last 4 days. I hope this is going to work for me, I'll keep you posted. Don't give up too soon when you first start this medication.
