Well, went to see the specialist at London Lupus Centre today, very impressed and reassured :)

Have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia but have had more bloods & x-rays today, and a bone density scan in a couple of weeks as although I didn't show antibodies in the last round of blood tests via my GP all my inflammation markers were very high, so I'm being investigated for rheumatoid arthritis, if that proves negative (i.e. x-rays and scan) then he will treat me for lupus as he does feel although the antibodies were negative last time, because of my other auto immune conditions (thyroid, type 1 diabetes and ulcerative colitis) I'm a prime candidate

I really do feel so much more confident after the visit today, finally light at the end of the tunnel, thank you to everyone who recommended the London Lupus Centre.

Dear Clare,
I am so glad you were pleased.
I found all the staff there very good and a nice atmosphere. (mind you I think I would have gone for a Consultation in a Bus Shelter if necessary!)

Clara,
An awful lot of us were helped when we first found this website (and in my case another smaller one), because of that we are always keen to help others get treatment. So many of us would have got nowhere if we stayed with unspecialised local Rheumies.
