Hello,
Not really sure if anyone can help with this and I will get straight to the point. My specialist wants to start chemo again in the next few weeks, I still have full kidney function however the lupus is very active and has badly affected my skin (the rash is even on my arms and chest). This wouldn't worry me as I have had chemo before, the most recent just 2 yrs ago when I found out I was pregnant with my princess, since then my now ex have split and he is threatening to use the chemo/lupus to make out im a bad mother and take full custody of our lil girl. He had no interest in her while we wer together, even tried to slit his wrists when he found out I was pregnant.
Does anyone know if the court will actually take her from me because of the lupus and chemo?

Thank you
Ruby

Grrr to your x.

What chemo drug is he talking about? Have you spoken to your rhumey about this or possibly an attorney?

Take care,

Hello,

I think its called cyclophosphamide (don't think that's the correct spelling). He is planning for me to have it via a drip once a month for 6 months I think, ive done it before and only feel a lil neauces for 24 hrs then im fine, so I know I can look after her, plus I live with family so they can help if I need it, but still not sure about the legal side etc. I have talked to both doctor and lawyer and both said he shouldn't be able to but they don't sound very optimistic and my ex is nasty and will use anything.
I guess im mainly wondering how other parents manage with children and not feeling well etc?

Thank you

I can understand your concern Ruby. Did your ex get treatment when he cut his wrists or has he a scar? I am sure the courts would be more interested in unstable behaviour than lupus and its treatments.

You have spoken to a doctor and lawyer so have covered your bases, concentrate on yourself and your daughter, worrying will make your lupus flare.

Take care
