Hi everyone,
I went to doctor last week with one of my eyes real red. They thought I had pink eye and gave me some drops for it. My eye started to clear up then it spread to the other side of eye. It was very painful. I then went to my eye doctor and he told me they had misdiagnosed me and it was scleritis. He said it was arthritis in my eye. He said it may be associated with lupus. Has anyone else ever heard of this? He gave me some steroid drops for eyes and wants to see me in five days. He said it was real common and nothing to worry about and should clear up. Has anyone else had this problem? I've also had upper respiratory infection and the flu at the time I got this. Any info on this would be helpful. Hugs,
Diane

Thank you Clare for info. I go back to eye doctor Wednesday and then I have rheumy's appointment on Friday. I just hope and pray that it doesn't mean my lupus is getting worse. I'm still trying to get over the flu. I've been out of work for a week and have to go back tomorrow.Take Care.
