Hi all,
my hands are very sore again and the redness extends from the wrist down.My finger pads look prunelike and I realised that this is because the skin is so dry it is stretching when I try to straighten my fingers.I just wondered if anyone has this too.I am finally having a skin biopsy on the 30th,

Hi Julsie,

I don't have scleroderma, but I do know someone who does. Her fingers are anything but prune like. Quite the opposite - the skin is very tight and hard, and the colour is mottled red white and blue from severe raudauds. Also her face - the skin is really tight and not stretchy. This is probably an extreme, and remember I'm no doctor.

I hope the biopsy helps shed light on what is going on with you. Try not to second guess too much in the meantime - you'll just stress yourself out. I know - easy to say, hard to do....
