HAPPY EASTER :)

Hello all, am about to start Palq this evening, 200mg with my evening meal as I take Loratadine first thing, steroids (33.75mg and dropping) in morning with breakfast, 10mg Singulair with lunch and 30mg Amitriptyline at night.

I think it probably is, but wanted to check if Plaq and 10mg Singulair are ok together, am on the Singulair for facial swelling (which it hasn't really affected in 5weeks) and food/inhalent allergies and wheezing, am also taking 10mg Loratadine (Clarytin) a day for other allergic symptoms. My Specialist seemed to think I can take it all, but haven't been able to get hold of my Allergist yet.

Anyone know? am beginning to think I will just rattle!

As far as I know it's OK; another good resource to ask is the pharmacist if you can't get one of your doctors to check for you.

Be sure to take the loratadine allergy drug without fruit juice - I think that's the one that if you take it with fruit juice then it makes it less effective. My dad was taking that and getting no benefit and then I read about taking it with OJ decreasing it's effectiveness! He had already switched medications though!

When I started the singulair, I was still on plaquenil. So, I would say, yes, they are safe together. It was my neurologist who started me on the singulair. I take 2 tabs at night as part of the med combo to control migraines. (due to celiac sprue I have a lot of scar tissue in my small intestine so need higher doses to get a therapeutic level)

I'm on 400 mg. of Plaq. daily and last week was started on 10 mg. Singulair for seasonal allergies, along with fexofenedine. The doctor knows about all my other meds, including Imuran and felt there would be no problem. I haven't had any issues at all.
