Hello everyone, haven't posted in awhile but needed some help with a test result I got. I really don't have anything to compare it with.

For my six month checkup with my Rheumy. Vitamin B12 and folic acid, normal, Vitamin D low level, so he wants me to take 800 to 1000 iu daily.
liver enzymes, kidney function, sugar, sodium, potassium, calcium - All Normal

I didn't know he was going to check my C-Reactive Protein but it is 0.29. I guess someone should have called me to explain all of it but of course I only got a piece of paper in the mail.

So could someone tell me if this is high, low, normal etc?????

If anyone could help me on this I would appreciate it. I am taking 400 mgs of Plaquenil daily.

Thank you for your help. Raeann

CRP is another measure of inflammation (& other things can cause it to be raised too such as infection). You can think of it as being similar to ESR or sed rate but they measure slightly different types of inflammation so you can have raised ESR but normal CRP or vice versa.

Generally speaking, anything below 0.5 is considered normal/good so your result is normal.
