This little chap was hoofed out of his nest by a crow.I found him on the slabs outside and thought he was dead until he took a slight breath.I'm pretty sure it's a baby Thrush. His luck went from bad to worse though because now I'm looking after him!:)
It's taken me a while to get the hang of moving my hand quickly when his bottom starts to wiggle, hence ,have now been pooed on three times, yuk!
Hubby says I should feed him to the cat, hhmph!:mad:he is joking though,

Oh my goodness! What are you going to do Julsie? The poor wee thing looks very young and may not survive without it's mum.

BTW Hubby just saw this and said that's what my eyes looked like after 2 Tramadol LOL :rotfl:

Aw

Hi there, just looked at ur little surprise bundle.
He is so sweet yet so fragile looking,is there not some sort of animal rescue centre nearby where he can recieve specialist care and attention.Or have u become quite attached to him already?
Let us know what u intend to do.
Good Luck,thats a hard one!!

Dearest Julsie,

The best of luck, at least you are giving him a chance.
One of my frinds raised a baby hooded crow once, so it can be done.

How are you keeping?

Yet another good use for those airing cupboards you all keep talking about!

I hope he or she survives but at that size I'd say it won't be easy - still we have to give them a chance and I wouldn't have left him there either.

Good idea to ring someone for advice and after, how on earth does one get them back to being wild? or don't you? I haven't a clue on such things. I remember when we were little we rescued a sea bird that flew into the mast on the boat. He lived in a cornflakes packet in the cat's cage until he was fit enough to fly again. I can't remember the type of bird...mind's gone blank on me - AGAIN

good luck,
Katharine

julsie,
My hubby found a single baby bunny while mowing the other day. Still had its eyes closed, but had fur already, so I knew it wouldn't be long before he'd (yes, I checked! Ha!) be off and about. After looking carefully for his nest (a thirty yard diameter) of where we found him. I did the only thing I could do, snuggled him to my breast until he was warmed, then found a brush pile to dense for my cats to get into, made him a little bed of shredded cotton balls and dried grasses and left him to continue as he would. I checked on him for 3 days, on the fourth day he was gone, but I saw him a few days ago hopping about the property. ( Well I'd like to think it was him, course all wild bunnies look the same).
Good luck in your endever.
