I'm so excited I'm practically busting!!! I've been working for the last 7 months towards getting insurance approval for weight loss surgery. They came through yesterday and my surgery date is Jan 20th! I am sooo excited and a little scared too...but more excited. I have been on a partial liquid diet for over 6 months and jumping through sooooo many hoops to be able to do this for my health. If I could jump up and do the snoopy dance, I would!!! hee hee hee!!!!:more:

I hope it works well for you and you are able to maintain the loss you should achieve following surgery. Is this the most permanent type of surgery or that reversible balloon/clip type of surgery?

I can understand your excitement as well as your nerves, if it's the permanent surgery it is a pretty big surgery. Good luck with everything! I've known a few people who have had this surgery, feel free to PM me if you want to hear more of their experiences either before or after your surgery ;)

Hi Maia, it's the bypass, not the banding so it is a permenant change to my life style. But I have to say that I am ready for the change and the new life that goes with it. It's still a lot of hard work to accomplish my goals, but I've never felt more ready and positive about anything.

Thanks for the support!! :)
