Hi,

I read in another forum that there is a specialist CTD clinic in Glasgow. Can anyone tell me anything about this. Where is it and what is the consultant's name? Also, is anyone aware of a CTD/Lupus specialist in Edinburgh?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi JacquiC

Maybe you missed this reply to you from Loopyloo back in June of last year? Here is a link to the thread which says that the CTD clinic is in Gartnavel Hospital and possibly the Glasgow Royal as well.

There are a couple of other doctor suggestions on this thread as well.
Best of Luck!

Hi Joan,

Thank you very much for sending this. I vaguely remembered asking this last year but had no idea how to find the information again. I tried to get a referral for a second opinion last year and got nowhere but after the last 8 months, I know I need to really push for this now. I just want to be armed with all the information I can get before I meet my GP next week.

Thanks again.

No problem Jacqui :)

If you want to find posts that you have posted before just click on your name which appears on the left hand side of every post and a drop down menu appears. Select the option 'Find more posts by...' and this brings up a list of posts you have posted before.

You can check anyones posts this way :)

Let us know how you get on and well done on tackling this head on. Doing your research is a very good idea. If you have any questions at all before next week feel free to ask :)

Hi Jacqui,

It was me who responded to your previous post. I still attend the Connective Tissue clinic at Gartnavel Hospital and the doctors are great. I feel very well looked after and they also look at alternative therapies like acupuncture and homeopathy.

I was like you and researched the clinics and doctors in advance. If you would like any further information please feel free to PM me.

Hi Jacqui,

I got your PM and have replied - it's been a bad day so took me a while to get up to speed.
