So my right hand has been swollen for a little while now. It doesn't hurt- rarely achiness in my wrist or fingers. Sometimes it feels tight, but in general doesn't hurt.

Anyone else have this happen to just one part of their body?

Yes.... I wonder if you are right handed? I get this the day after I have been gardening etc and it will only be in one hand if I have worked that hand hard...rather than my other one. It is usually 'payback' swelling in my case a while after I have been busy :0(

Hi!
I am right-handed, yes. My Dr gave me a brace that people with carpal tunnel wear... But I don't know why since it never hurts. I can understand if you overdo it, you pay for it! :(
However, it has been swollen constantly for a couple months now... Just frustrating. I did have a urinalysis for my kidney function, and it came back normal, so I guess I will just be referred to a hand specialist.

I had my right hand operated on for Carpal Tunnel...then it started in the left.....turns out it was because of my MCTD swelling in the carpal tunnel rather than due to a true carpal tunnel problem. Hope the hand specialist can help you .

Wow, I didn't even think much about MCTD. I was really just diagnosed with all of my auto-immune stuff in March..
Thanks for your replies, it definitely has given me some peace of mind before going to the specialist :)
