Hi all,

Well i finally got the cat scan resuts on my inner ear problem. It showed that i had fluid in my inner ear canal and also into my sinuses. The ear doctor put me on cipro 500mg. 2x's per day. The med makes me feel sick, but i guess my body has to adjust to it.

Does anyone know if this bacteria could travel to the brain?

Well i hope to god this med works cause this has been going on to long. I will be taking it for 10 days..

Just thought i would update you all on the results.

I dont know about the brain but when I get that it makes me feel quite ill plus the anti b's make it worse.
you should check to make sure the infection is completely gone. it usually takes to rounds of meds to get rid of my infections

It can but it's extremely rare. Why do you ask? Headache is a very common symptom with a sinus infection, and does not mean it has traveled to the brain at all.

I'm glad you are on antibiotics and hope that they have found the right one that will take care of the infection for you.

Take the cipro with food and you should be ok. Also, if you can take it before bed so that most of the bad yucky side effects you sleep through.
