Starting at noon today I have been feeling better than in such a long time I cannot even put it into months or years. I don't think I have felt so pain- and ache- and discomfort-free since ..... Since when? Since dinosaurs walked the earth?
It is such an amazing feeling! I actually feel well!!! Some friends at a meeting today were grinning like idiots and saying how well I was moving around, no cane, etc. I hadn't realized how many people really do care.
I know it will not last, the downside of "this too will pass" but I have certainly enjoyed it today and celebrated with a very active practice in the dojo. I rather surprised myself - and even more so one of my students who is half my age.
Perhaps my next note will be :( but for now :).
Enjoy the good things however fleeting. Never forget them.

Douglas,
This is great news for you!!!! I am happy for you and maybe one day we will get to feel what you have. You should enjoy what time you have to be painfree. I tomorrow brings you another one.

Wow Douglas that's great!

I hope you really enjoy it, however long it lasts.

I have been wondering if I would be able to get back to the dojo too. It's been a long time (since end 2006) since I really worked properly. I have actually got to the point where I think a gradual return is possible, so fingers crossed for you and me.

Great news !!!

You are right, the days we feel not so bad we need to cherish and remember them.

I hope this continues for you and you have many more pain free and manageable days !
