This makes me wonder about my 20 yr. old daughter. She has an under active thyroid dx'ed a few months ago...not bad enough apparently for medication. She had the radio active scan done and it came back fine.

My question is does she need a seperate test to determine if her problems are autoimmune? She has been losing tons of hair..luckily she has really thick hair so it doesn't show except for a bald patch on the side of her forehead. Also she has a pretty big sore on the inside of her lower lip next to the gums. She used to get the same kind of sores on the roof of her mouth along with fatigue and occasional aches and pains. Just wondering if she needs to be tested further. I want her to go while the sore and bald patch is there but she just brushes it off.
