Hi Lou,
I get this problem when I flare. ENT said the ear canals and tubes were extremely inflamed and this is what causes the humming/buzzing noises.
They can drive you crazy! He actually put me on zyrtec (allergy med) and antiinflammatory meds and it was gone within 2 months.
Hope you have lots of quiet nights ahead and you continue to feel better and get some sleep!
