Hi Everyone,

I have been taking one day at a time with my health. I am eating now, and my stomach is doing great. Everyday seem a bit better than the day before.

I quit taking my nsaid to let my stomach settle and heal. I started taking it today. I am in so much pain from lupus. I also have a nice crop of mouth sores on the roof of my mouth. When my DH looked it was like wow, ewwww does it hurt?

They want my blood pressure to be low so my heart doesn't have to work that hard. Most of the time I remember to stand up slow. If I don't remember I am reminded very quickly with being dizzy.:ermm:

Today was a blue day for me.:tears:

Thank you everyone for your love, support and prayers.

Love,
Lyn

You have a lot of healing to do, just take your time. Distractions help a lot but slowly, day by day, things will get better.

I'm starting my holiday baking so keep that appetite going. I'm going to try not to gain too much weight this year, that's my goal. Then next month I will resolve to lose it again. Oh wow I just had a thought! Maybe I will try nibbling instead of eating next year! OMG, that just may be the key!!! I'll carry a little nibble bag around with me of things that don't have calories (If there is such a thing).

I guess I've got pretty good with distractions. :hehe: Maybe it's just become a habit to cope with a lupie life, it seems to help me anyway. Take care of yourself and keep getting better, doctors orders! :)

Dear Lyn
I am very glad to hear you are feeling a bit better and hope you continue to make progress. It was a good idea to get some sleeping medicine. I am sure that sleeps helps to heal exhausted minds and bodies. I wonder if they still do that sleep therapy these days. Don't expect too much from yourself, since you have your grief to cope with too.

Loving hugs

Dear Lyn, I am sorry it was a blue day for you.
Hope the mouth ulcers heal soon. They are rotten things to have.
I wish there was something I could do to help you.
(But for what it's worth I do think of you)

Hi Lyn

Thats very good news that your body is starting to recover from the terrible trauma. I just hate when I get problems with my mouth. Sooo painful :hugbetter: I find that rinsing with salt and water regularly helps a lot and of course keeping away from any spicy foods.

You will have many blue days ahead Lyn but I am hoping that soon you can find little special moments of peace and happiness in between those blue times. Grieving is a long, long process so be very gentle on yourself

Much love and hugs

I am glad to hear that you are getting better physically, even if it is little by little. I hope that you continue to find yourself stronger with each passing day. It sounds as if the big issues are more under control, so now the little nigglers need to behave, too.

You and your family continue to be in my thoughts. Take care of yourself and stay warm! I know it's miserable in Iowa right now, and I wish I could send you some Florida sunshine in the mail.

Thanks for the update. So good to hear that you have help with sleeping now, and your stomach is starting to settle.

Hopefully you'll be able to drop some of the BP medication sometime in the not too distant future as well.

Take care... (((Lyn)))

Dearest Friend,

It is so good hearing, you are feeling a bit better. :) Thank you, for keeping us informed, as we have had you on our minds, and in our hearts, always with the hope, healing is coming to you.

Sleep, is so important. I hope you are able to rest. I am happy to hear your tummy, is being more cooperative lately.

Lyn, a steroid paste may be helpful, to get those oral sores, to heal really fast. they help my oral and nasal sores heal about twice as fast, as without it.
It isn't very expensive. Maybe, your dr, could just phone in a script for you.
A very little goes a long way...Continue, to feel better Lyn.

God Bless and Keep You Always,
Sandy

Hi Lyn :hugbetter:

It's good to hear from you :) and that you are doing a little better. I don't envy you going without the NSAIDS and hope they will kick back in soon. I was off mine recently for only a week and was flabbergasted how much of a difference they made. I could barely move around and spent a lot of time in bed without them. I agree on trying to get a steroid paste, I have it on hand for when my mouth ulcers go balistic and it helps a lot and clears them up quite quickly, so it's worth enquiring about.

Hang in there Lyn, you are still in my thoughts and prayers ((((Lyn)))
