I have seen many posts lately from parents wondering if their child's scars will heal, what will the skin look like later, ect. This is Presley now. If you haven't seen her video and what her skin use to look like you can go to youtube and search for "neonatal lupus presley" and see.
Thank you all for all of your support, this is a wonderful website,

Hello there :)

I'm one of those who knows nothing about neonatal lupus but I have seen your video and it's great to see your beautiful little girl looking so well. She is still just as happy-smiley!!

I'm sure the photo will be an encouragement to others.

I just read your other post too and I'm sorry to hear that she has had so many ongoing problems and that she has now been diagnosed with cerebral palsy.

Is that linked to the problems she had when she was younger?

Some of these things are so complicated.

yes, believe it or not they think it all was because of the neonatal lupus! She got very inflammed, had high fevers and very sick when she was a couple of months old (shown in the video). They think that caused damage to the brain. She is a happy wonderful toddler though. Very smart, we are lucky in that the damage only seems to have delayed motor and not cognitive thinking. At her last assessment at the Pediatric development center at Texas Children's Hospital, she scored greater than her age on cognitive activities.

Wow, that's great about the cognitive testing, you must have been so relieved and also proud.

She is certainly a very beautiful little girl!

That's very thoughtful of you to post another picture to show others concerned for their babies how much they can improve with their rashes.

Best wishes for continued improvement with her motor skills, they can do some amazing things with physical therapy these days.

Take care and many hugs and kisses to Presley!
