My doctor examined my knee and shot it full of cortisone. He says the meniscus is torn and that I should have arthroscopic surgery. I'm going to wait for awhile on that, if I can.

He also said no to the blood work or Rx tampering. He made an appointment for me with the new rheumatologist who just got to town. The appointment is early March. I am so scared I'm going to lose all my hair. Is there anything I can do to help it?

Anyway, that's what's going on with me right now and I'm really tired and have to go sleep for a bit.

Hi Sunny,

I hope the cortisone shot helps relieve some of your knee pain. Did the doctor mention any simple exercises to help build up the supporting area around the knee?

Good luck with the new rheumatologist. Hopefully the new one will give you the care you need.

Take care,

Sunny,

I really hope the shot works and you get some relief for your knee. :hugbetter: Both my Dad and my sister have had that surgery and it made a huge difference to them. Do you know how you tore it? My dad did it the 1st time he played golf my sister did a cart wheel!!!

Have you got a counsellor or good friend that you can talk through your fears about new treatments and hair loss with?

I will be praying for you for your appointment in March. I hope you get some good answers and a little hope.

Sunny, don't know how bad your hairloss is now but I have lost mine for a good 5 yrs now. I am almost completely transparent at the front but i can still hide it, even after all this time. If yours is too it can be covered with eyeshadow if it's dark. I brush it on if needed, it's cheap and effective
