Hello 
It probably depends where you live. I go to New Cross Hospital under Dr Ali in Rheumatology and have no complaints about the service plus it's the easiest for me to get to.
However other hospitals may have even more expertise for example in Dudley Russells Hall Hospital they have Lupus drop in days once a month linked to the West Midland Lupus group so they may have even more experience. Also I think Birmingham (? linked to the Birmingham University) are a centre of excellence with Dr Caroline Gordon.

Please come along to the drop in clinic - next one is on Wednesday, 26th November 2008 – 2pm – 4pm and will include a talk on Aromatherapy .
The drop in clinic is held at Russells Hall Hospital in Ward A1 (maternity entrance & down corridor on right)

Hi,
Im Shropshire which isnt far from West Mids but Id like to know too if there is anyone specialises in Lupus in this area.
I have had a few Rheumatologists but they dont really know much about Lupus.

Hi
There's a lady called Rose Smallwood who organises things for the Shropshire area, so she may be best link for knowing who is the best shrops expert/ doctor.
I think that Rose holds meetings/ coffee&chat get togethers in Shrewsbury. However I think she has been unwell recently so it's probably best to check with Yvonne Norton at WMLG who would have her contact details etc - try the WMLG web site contact us link I posted in earlier reply
