I've just discovered another doctor at St Thomas, ie. Dr D'Cruz. I really need to make my appointment count so I'd be grateful for opinions on who would be the best to see out of these two. Thanks again!

I would have thought that the hospital will allocate you a doctor, though if you have a problem with who you have been given you may be able to change it. But what would I know, I live on the opposite side of the world!

cheers

Both Dr. Khamashta and Dr. D'Cruz are excellent lupus and aps doctors and they both have roughly the same behaviour towards patients; they listen carefully, discuss things with the patient, they do not dismiss patients' concerns and are very polite.

I don't think seeing one doc and not the other will make much, if any, difference for you when you go for your appointment... After all they are part of the same team of lupus doctors at St. Thomas, they work together and are both brilliant diagnosticians and doctors (lovely people too). :)
